Cheerful Court Care Home
Located in Ngau Tau Kok, Cheerful Court Care Home is a private residential care home for the elderly operated by the Hong Kong Housing Society (HS). The care home is situated in Cheerful Court, which is an elderly estate under HS’s “Senior Citizen Residences Scheme”. Apart from receiving tailor-made nursing and care services, residents of the care home can also enjoy the exclusive use of the clubhouse facilities in the estate. The warm and harmony environment allowing the elders to live with grace.
Cheerful Court Care Home is one of the recognized service providers under the “Pilot Scheme on Residential Care Service Voucher for the Elderly” (RCSV) of the Social Welfare Department. We provide a maximum of 54 beds for Voucher Holders.
- Accommodation of a maximum of 55 residents with bedrooms for 1-6 residents;
- Each room is equipped with electric care bed, bedside curtain and individual bathroom;
- Individual television set is installed at each bed in the Premium 4 bedded room;
- Reflexology path and gardening corner are available at the middle garden;
- A wide range of facilities including the restaurant, clinic, library, salon and car park are available in the estate.
Cheerful Court Care Home offers various physical and cognitive training for the elderly. A multidisciplinary team that comprises of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Nurses is in place to perform assessment for the elderly, and design personalised training programmes. It strives to decelerate the deterioration of clients’ cognitive competence and strengthen their self-care ability. Families are invited to take part in designing the elder’s training programmme and reviewing the outcome.

六十多歲的岑女士談吐温文,精神不錯,在「喜頤閣」初次見面,看不出她曾接受化療。岑女士習慣獨立生活,也很懂得為自己及早計劃,在接受化療前,已決定入住護理安老院。「那時候決定進行化療,知道化療後身體需要一段時間休養,而且需要專業及適切的照顧,若獨處家中時身體不適,會很不便,家人亦會擔心。」選擇安老院的過程並不簡單,需考慮環境及服務能否配合個人起、居、飲、食的需要,還有環境是否適合休養等。
岑女士參觀過幾間院舍,亦曾考慮聘請家傭在家照顧,但考慮到家傭非專業的護理員,而且不能24小時支援她,最後選擇了香港房屋協會轄下的「喜頤閣」。「當初曾考慮入住房協另一間院舍『安頤閣』的,那裡環境也很好,但家人都在九龍灣一帶居住,這裡較方便他們來探望。」化療後身體曾十分虛弱,需要較多照料,「喜頤閣」提供24小時照顧及護理服務,亦有護士當值,讓岑女士及家人都很放心。「曾經有幾次身體不適入院,慶幸來了這裡,不用麻煩家人,減少他們為我擔心。」

Application Procedure
- Submit the completed “Application Form” together with the “Medical Examination Form” filled in by a registered medical practitioner and chest x-ray report to the Residential Care Home by mail, email or in person

- Qualified applicant to be arranged for move-in
